From ‘The Adventure of the Speckled Band’ marvelously cracked by the super sleuth Sherlock Holmes, to Satyajit Ray’s jaw dropping description of a phantasmal carnivorous plant in ‘Septopus er Khide’ (later translated into English as ‘The Hunger of Septopus’), nature has always fascinated and thrilled us. The known and unknown facets of the wild have titillated our senses in various creations of art. Nature, in all its glory, is the greatest artist and scientist, whom we try to mimic using different tools of choice.
